UCView Partner with CognoVision to Deliver Audience Measurement Technology

Chatsworth, CA, February 13, 2010 Los Angeles-based digital signage solutions provider UCView Media and Markham, Ontario-based CognoVision announced their partnership today to offer advanced audience measurement capabilities to UCView’s clients. CognoVision was awarded the Best New Audience Measurement Package at the 2009 DIGI Awards for its Anonymous Impression Metric (AIM) system. The platform includes face-detection and people tracking technology that can be used to optimize ROI for clients in any industry.

“We’re excited about our new partnership with CognoVision,” stated Guy Avital, CEO of UCView Media, Inc. “The AIM system adds a whole new dimension to our platform, and opens the door to new opportunities for our partners. Detecting the audience in real-time will boost narrowcast campaigns’ effectiveness.”

On top of its ability to measure the audience, AIM also collects important data such as ads watched, consumers’ viewing time, and gender demographics per ad. The integration of CognoVision and UCView’s reporting modules enables statistics to be analyzed and interpreted to optimize the effectiveness of future advertising campaigns.

Wilson’s Gas Stops has been one of the early beneficiaries of UCView’s partnership with CognoVision. “The automated data reports provide valuable information such as peak traffic times and audience size,” says George Jeha, President of Eye Catch Signs, the system integrators for Wilson’s. “These reports are an eye-opener for retailers, providing a glimpse of consumers’ behavior. Just a couple of months after deployment we saw how this technology will help create a mutually beneficial relationship between retailers and their customers.”

UCVIEW ADDS TOUCH SCREEN INTEGRATION TO POPULAR DIGITAL SIGNAGE SOLUTION

Los Angeles, CA - UCView Media, Inc. enters 2008 with a major update to its already popular Digital Signage System.  Touch screen integration allows users to interface with elements on a digital display, creating a greater degree of participation and retention than possible with static systems.  Directions, user-selected advertisements, custom media presentations and even trivia expand from static loops to dynamic audience interaction.  “With this major capability upgrade, we continue to push the boundaries of interaction and offer our clients countless options for reaching their audience,” says Guy Avital, president of UCView Media, Inc.  “Imagine needing to find a particular store in a large mall. You walk up to a kiosk, touch the name of the store from a list on the screen and directions to the store from your current position automatically appears.”

Adding touch screen utility to a signage network is as simple as creating and uploading interactive content in Flash, PowerPoint, HTML, PDF or any other program that supports it and then designating a display as “interactive” in the UCView web portal administration tool.“Simplicity and reliability are capital goals for us” continues Avital.

“We want to help our clients get the most opportunity from digital signage with the highest degree of reliability and least amount of effort.  Our upcoming purpose-built systems are a major
push in that direction.”

AccuWeather and UCView Media to Distribute the Latest in Digital Signage

STATE COLLEGE, PA - AccuWeather, Inc. announced today that UCView Media, Inc. has licensed AccuWeather’s news, sports and weather content for redistribution on digital signage networks across the United States and Canada.  The AccuWeather content functions as a powerful tool to draw and hold viewers, which can reduce perceived wait times.

AccuWeather’s digital signage content modules include current local weather conditions, hourly and five-day forecasts, regional radar, video forecasts and weather trivia.  Also included are U.S. & world news as well as business and sports updates.  Many of AccuWeather’s digital signage modules are also available in Spanish.

Digital signage has become an essential element for advertising to captive audiences, but displaying only advertisements can cause viewers to completely tune out the information. The AccuWeather modules integrate timely and localized information into digital signage play lists that grab a viewer’s interest.

“Weather is, by its very nature, relevant and dynamic information that draws eyes to the screens again and again. That is why weather consistently gains top audience ratings in all existing mediaand why advertisements integrated with weather information in existing media command premium rates,” said Dr. Joel N. Myers, founder and president of AccuWeather. “Now the content that AccuWeather has developed will offer to digital signage systems the same attractive power of weather.”

AccuWeather engaged with UCView Media to integrate AccuWeather’s content and fully integrated it into the UCView System, the flagship product of UCView. The UCView System delivers up-to-the-minute digital content over wireless or TCP/IP networks. The system enables display owners to manage, schedule and deliver their content. An optional advertising module allows for advertisers to log in, manage, schedule and control their advertising campaigns. The UCView system provides display owners a revenue channel without the hassles of managing advertisers.

“Bundling fresh, informative content into digital signage will keep the eyes of the targeted audience focused on the screens, providing advertisers the perfect stage to promote their products.” said Guy Avital, UCView Media CEO. “This latest addition to our system enables instantaneous delivery of weather information to a digital signage network. Setting up your own digital signage network can take less than 15 minutes!”

Distribution of AccuWeather content across the United States and Canada by UCView is effectively immediately.
